Who is the French Connection?
Founded in 2009 in Ashland, Oregon, The French
Connection has been striving to develop and produce the
finest natural, delicious French inspired desserts. The
first product developed by The French Connection were
madeleines, a traditional French tea cake. It proved too
difficult to distribute the madeleines and maintain
freshness, so other products were developed.
Lori went back to the kitchen and developed the recipe for
Lori's Meringues. Seeking to create a blend of traditional
French meringue and a meringue that would hold up over
time and under refrigeration, Lori struck that perfect
balance. Lori's Meringue Mushrooms and Acorns were
introduced to rave reviews at the 2010 NASFT Fancy Food
show in New York City.
Lori's latest creation is her salt caramel syrup. It is unique
to conventional salt caramels in that, despite being
completely fat free, it retains a smooth, rich, buttery taste.
The sweetness of the cane sugar is brought out by the
Celtic Sea salt, all flavored with a hint of maple.
